Job Summary: Adventure Park is seeking an experienced Sales Manager with existing relationships with community leaders AND groups (schools, higher education institutions, nonprofit groups, local business owners, etc). We are also looking for someone with experience in cold-calling and lead prospecting.

The Sales Manager is responsible for maintaining existing group sales revenue and the development of potential new sales relationships. In this role you will handle inside and outside sales including, but not limited to guest relations, birthday party, group bookings, team building, corporate events and fundraiser inquiries. Sales Manager will communicate with marketing director to promote inside and outside promotions. This role will include building relationships with local leaders in our community. Discovering, creating and maintaining lasting partnerships that deliver successful group programming while maintaining sales goals.

  • Achieve sales goals
  • Work with Guest Relations and Group Coordinators
  • Acquire, import and upkeep all necessary database and customer lists
  • Handle bookings, confirmations and deposits
  • Become a product expert – group party packages, holiday events and fundraising programs
  • Communicates with marketing department to effectively promote holiday/fundraiser events
  • Creates action plans to start up new and recurring group sales and programs
  • Follows up on leads
  • Makes daily sales calls, either by telephone, in person or internet
  • Maintain excellent public relations answering questions, comments and inquiries through telephone, verbal, written communication and social media
  • Maintain accurate database and sales record keeping
  • Asks for referrals
  • Ensures that guests’ expectations are exceeded
  • Full knowledge of POS and its functions/price keys
  • Anticipates and solves any issues, preferably before they arise
  • Resolve all customer relations’ issues
  • Completes sales reports as needed
  • Attends staff meetings and reports on and communicates upcoming events
  • Keeps all upcoming events, fundraising programs, parties in a calendar
  • Communicate and coordinate with appropriate department booking details
  • Manage and execute guest service performance standards on a daily basis
  • Notice opportunities and take action to facilitate social interactions with families
  • Look for moments to surprise, engage guests with enthusiasm and go above and beyond using your own authentic personality

Physical Demands

Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms climb or balance stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or listen. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour plus commission
